On Saturday 14 April, the Haegsche Tijd Foundation in collaboration with the Venduehuis der
Notaries in The Hague hosted a festive event to mark the anniversary of
Christiaan Huygens.
You are cordially invited.
Programme of this Huygens Day:
14.30 - 15.00 Walk-in with coffee or tea
15.00 - 15.10 Welcome by Antoon Gaemers, chairman Haegsche Tijd Foundation
15.10 - 16.00 Lecture "Christiaan Huygens, Time Measurement and The Hague" by Prof C. A. Grimbergen
16.00 - 16:30 Explanation of 3-D printed watch cases by Michiel Holhinrich
16.30 - 17.00 Drinks and opportunity to visit the Huygens Room where some historical
clockwork tools are on display.
The meeting will be held in the Nobel Room on the first floor of Vendue House,
Nobelstraat 5, 2513 BC The Hague. Admission is free. Would you like to participate in this festive
